$100M Seed to Redefine How Humanity Computes

Today we announce our $100M seed round to redefine how humanity computes for AI’s next chapter. The round is led by Atomico with significant participation from Plural, DCVC, and the UK Sovereign AI Fund, alongside other world-class investors and angels.

We are living through a Cambrian explosion of intelligence: new models and new chips, each specialised for something different, all arriving at the same moment. We are building the platform that unifies them globally. Harnessed together, heterogeneous compute unlocks the orders-of-magnitude leaps in capability and cost of intelligence that the economics of AI now demand.

Why now? The defining question of the next decade will not be "which model is better?" but "which combination of models, on which silicon, together solve my problem under my constraints of cost and speed?" This is heterogeneous intelligence: treating AGI not as one solution but as a space of capabilities matched to the problem at hand. It is how nature evolves intelligence, and we have already shown it to be the superior approach for many of the most important problems we want AI to solve. The advantage compounds as the explosion accelerates.

Alongside the round, we are making three major announcements:

1. Our first wave of global compute partnerships. As the world's heterogeneous integrator, we work with the most exciting compute companies on the planet to unleash what their technology does best. Today we announce our flagship partnership with Cerebras, bringing ultra-low-latency, heterogeneous multi-agent intelligence to customers at scale, making entirely new classes of AI systems possible. We are also announcing partnerships with next-generation silicon companies including Rebellions, and with infrastructure providers and OEMs worldwide.

2. Advances in programmable heterogeneity. We are sharing new advances in programmable heterogeneity: breaking workloads into their component tasks and orchestrating each to the model and chip that runs it best, under constraints of cost, energy and speed. This programmable decomposition exposes new surface area in the stack, leading to new entry points for our global partners' silicon, and for new compute yet to be imagined.

3. Tailored Inference in production. We are delivering step-changes in performance and cost-efficiency across fields from advanced cybersecurity to finance, opening new frontiers of discovery for the teams bringing AI to the world's hardest problems. This is Tailored Inference: intelligence optimised to the task, delivered through our family of APIs over heterogeneous compute.

Heterogeneity is also how sovereignty becomes reality rather than aspiration: frontier-level intelligence running on whatever silicon a nation can access, with no single supplier holding all the keys. We are proud to be the first-ever investment of the UK Sovereign AI Fund, and to be named in the UK's £1.1B AI hardware plan.

How humanity computes is being decided now. We have assembled some of the world's very best to decide it well, and we are just getting started. Join us.

"AI is nothing without the chips that underpin it - and the eye-watering demand for them is only going to grow. In the race to develop and use AI, success will depend not just on having access to those chips, but on using them as efficiently as possible."
Kanishka Narayan, Minister for Artificial Intelligence, UK Government

"By integrating Cerebras into Callosum's platform, we're making ultra-low-latency inference available exactly where it creates the greatest impact, enabling customers to build AI systems that simply weren't practical before."
Andrew Feldman, CEO, Cerebras Systems

"Working with Callosum puts our architecture into systems alongside hardware chosen for different parts of the workload, instead of asking one chip to do every job. That's the difference between a partnership and a deployment that only works in one environment or geography."
Sunghyun Park, CEO, Rebellions
